CHS Class of 1968 Awards Scholarships for 2010 The CHS Class of 1968 Scholarship Committee awarded its 2010 scholarship to Clearwater High School graduate, Nicholas R. Chattaway. Nick will be attending the Uninversity of South Florida St. Petersburg campus this fall to study sports administration and business. Nick's essay on the challenges he faced as a child, as well as his outstanding academic performance in spite of the obstacles he faced, made him an easy choice for the committee. Also, last year's recipient, Susie Knowles, daughter of classmate Beth Jamieson Knowles, applied for and had her scholarship renewed for 2010. Congratulations to Susie for successfully completing her freshman year at Florida Southern. CHS Class of 1968 Awards Scholarship for 2009 Susie Knowles, daughter of classmate Beth Jamieson Knowles, graduated from Pinellas County Center for the Arts (PCCA) at Gibbs High School in June 2009. Later that summer she was able to travel with a group from PCCA to the International High School Theater Festival at the Fringe Festival in Edinburgh, Scotland. This group was among a very few from the United States that were invited to attend. Susie was part of the crew and served as the sound board operator. In August, she entered Florida Southern College in Lakeland to study technical theater. She has been a member of the running crew for 2 of their main stage plays as a freshman. Susie has a special interest in stage make-up and hopes to develop her skills so she can eventually work in the theater.
